A New Diagnostic Algorithm for the Treatment of Drug-Resistant Epilepsy

Around 50 million people worldwide suffer from epilepsy, a brain condition that causes recurrent seizures of various types. While anti-seizure medication is available and effective for most people with this disorder, between 20% and 30% of patients don’t respond. Researchers at the University College of London developed a diagnostic algorithm for the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy.
