Your suggestions for improvement:
A polysomnograph is a form of sleep polygraph used to record different physiological variables in a sleeping patient. These include heart rate (ECG), respiratory characteristics, brain function (EEG) and muscle activity (EMG).
ApplicationsThese devices aid in the diagnosis of various disorders, particularly sleep apnea. Polysomnography is also recommended when a person suffers from frequent waking during the night, fatigue or headache upon awakening in the morning, difficulty concentrating, snoring, insomnia and sleepwalking, among other conditions.
TechnologiesMobile units facilitate use in more than one hospital department. Some machines are equipped with a video camera to associate physiological data with a visual record of subject behavior.
