The Positional Sleep Assessment System (PoSAS) provides a simple, inexpensive, and integrated solution to measure the effects of sleeping position on sleep quality, sleep-disordered breathing, and snoring with an array of 29 metrics.
PoSAS was designed to assist clinicians with identifying patients with positional obstructive sleep apnea (POSA), monitor oral appliance therapy outcomes, and conduct pre-operative OSA screening.
The PoSAS efficacy report provides the calculations and synthesizes the results into four key sleep metrics that enable personalization of non-PAP therapy by identifying which patients would benefit from oral appliance, positional therapy, or the combination of both.
Features
Automated scoring and calculation of:
Positional oxygen desaturation index (ODI) applying both 3% and 4% desaturation criteria
Actigraphy-based sleep time, sleep efficiency, wake after sleep onset (WASO), and awakenings per hour
Autonomic activation index based on changes in pulse rate
Overall, supine, and non-supine percent time snoring
