If the upholstered frame is to be adjusted upwards, the lever must be stepped down. If the cushion frame is to be lowered, the treadle lever must be raised. The hydraulic height-adjustable examination tables from AGA Sanitätsartikel are available not only with a headrest that can be adjusted upwards (positive) but also with a headrest that can be adjusted positively and negatively (below horizontal). The so-called head-down position is preferred for sonographic evaluations of the soft tissues of the neck, for example the thyroid gland. Like the examination tables with the positively adjustable headrest, the models with the head-down position are also available in three frame finishes (lacquered, chrome-plated and stainless steel) as well as two widths.
