The AGIXseat is an anti-decubitus wheelchair cushion which is suitable for use in both the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers within the home healthcare and nursing home environments. Six TPU cells are fixed to a moulded foam base and are covered by a antislip, multiway stretch, water resistant and vapour permeable seat cover. When the system is used with an average patient weight of 80 kg, the pressure control unit with its lithium polymer battery can ensure an operation of up to 24 hours before recharging is necessary.
