Touchsafe Pro Pendant with Location enables staff to locate their resident quickly and effectively should they request assistance. Legrand Care have developed a retrofit solution that can be used with the current Touchsafe Pro system to improve staff efficiency by directing a staff member to the location of a resident if they require assistance. The Touchsafe Pro Pendant with Location is a neck worn device that can be worn by a resident and in the event of a call for assistance will communicate with the nearest call point to provide the staff member with the location of that individual. The call is displayed on the main nurse call panels as well as via integrated paging or messaging solutions allowing staff members to clearly see where they need to respond to, saving valuable time which allows them to move onto their next task much quicker. The Touchsafe Pro Pendant with Location combines two wireless modes of communication to guar¬antee a call is raised even if the location detail is not able to be registered. Should a device be una¬ble to provide a clear line of sight to an IR enabled call point, the call will still be processed via the telecare network receivers and raise the alert on the system. The Touchsafe Pro System can comprehensively support up to 255 Pendant with Locations, allowing for almost any size of care home to benefit from device location functionality. Using the very latest technology, the battery life of the Pendant with Location is expected to be 3 years based on typical usage. It can be replaced by a staff member as and when it reports a low battery through to the nurse call panel.
