Bosphore BKV Quantification Kit v1 detects and quantitates all genotypes of BK virus DNA in human serum, plasma and urine samples. The analytic sensitivity is 75 copies/ml. A region within the large T-antigen encoding gene is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter. An internal control has been integrated into the kit in order to check extraction, PCR inhibition and application mistakes. The amplification data of the internal control is detected with the HEX filter. The internal control is added either in extraction or PCR step.
