Bosphore Sepsis Pathogens Panel Kit v1 detects and characterizes Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, Acinetobacter baumannii, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, Candida tropicalis, Aspergillus spp., coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CoNS), Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp. DNA in whole blood and blood culture samples. Fluorescence detection is accomplished by using FAM, HEX, Texas Red and Cy5 filters. In the first tube with PCR Master Mix 1; Escherichia coli is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter, Staphylococcus aureus is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the HEX filter and Enterococcus faecalis is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter. In the second tube with PCR Master Mix 2; Klebsiella pneumoniae is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter, Staphylococcus spp. is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the HEX filter and Enterococcus faecium is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter. In the third tube with PCR Master Mix 3; Acinetobacter baumannii virus is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the HEX filter and Pseudomonas aeruginosa is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter.
