The Aura II LAL Turning is a True Low Air Loss Replacement Mattress Support System suited to both the hospital and community nursing care environments. The system includes Timed Turning, Alternating, Pulsate, Immersion and Static functions. The Aura II LAL Turning replacement mattress consists of 19 low air loss cells incorporating a static base. The multifunctional pump unit is designed for users at a 'Very High Risk' of developing pressure ulcers, or have existing tissue damage. The cells are ventilated to provide maximum air circulation across the mattress and reduce the build up of heat and moisture on the skin. The subsequent reduced pressure on the vulnerable bony areas enhances patient comfort giving further aid to wound management. The Aura II Turn is a support surface combining turning with full immersion and low air loss combining microclimate management and is a viable alternative to air-fluidised systems for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers for the most complex patients.
