Description

The Kii balloon blunt-tip access system features an innovative gel cone that allows for enhanced instrument articulation while maintaining pneumoperitoneum. The non-latex, nonfragmenting balloon ensures the utmost stability throughout lengthy procedures and provides maximum visibility by minimizing trocar intrusion into the abdomen. Simple seal detachment allows for versatility during specimen removal and for rapid desufflation. The sleeve features a deep funnel entry that enables smooth instrument exchanges. The Kii trocar features optional suture ties, facilitating trocar advancement and port-site closure. The access system accommodates a wide range of abdominal wall thicknesses while maintaining pneumoperitoneum. The balloon and retention disk maintain stability throughout lengthy procedures, facilitating resumption of laparoscopic surgery after specimen removal. The retention disk and balloon compress the incision site, potentially reducing port-site bleeding.
