The thermal shock chamber – fitoterm 150 cte2 – is composed of two independent chambers (hot/cold) in the same structure, allowing the test objects to be exposed to ultra-fast temperature changes through an internal elevator that conducts the objects between the two chambers .
The thermal shock test is performed by transferring between two internal chambers – hot zone and cold zone – using an electromechanical elevator, with a transfer speed of less than 5 seconds. It also has a mechanical deceleration system to eliminate vibrations during tests.
In the FitoTerm 150CTE2 thermal shock chamber, the upper chamber supports heat tests up to 200ºC, with heating by means of electrical resistances and air circulation. The lower chamber is for cold tests down to -75ºC, with dynamic ventilation of 2m/s for homogenization and temperature uniformity.
