CIDEX™ OPA Test Strips are used in conjunction with CIDEX OPA™ Solution to monitor the minimum effective concentration (MEC) and ensure safe high-level disinfection Features CIDEX™ OPA Test Strips can be used to rapidly and easily monitor the minimum effective concentration (MEC) of CIDEX™ OPA Solution, in order to optimise its reuse for high-level disinfection. CIDEX™ OPA Solution is reusable for up to 14 days, but should be tested using CIDEX™ OPA Test Strips prior to each use, to confirm that the concentration of its active ingredient, ortho-phthalaldehyde, is above 0.3%. This ensures that the solution will efficiently destroy microorganisms, and can therefore be safely used for high-level disinfection.
