The multifunctional ABW6 height adjustable wall mounted wash basin range was designed by Astor Bannerman for users with special and progressively changing needs. The modular unit was developed with a team from Muscular Dystrophy UK and is the original height adjustable basin of its kind which helps to encourage user independence. The modular unit was developed with a team from Muscular Dystrophy UK and is the original height adjustable basin of its kind which helps to encourage user independence. With a full 450 mm height range and large basin surround, the ABW wash basin is suitable for wheelchair users as well as people who need extra support to move from sitting to standing positions. The basin is made from a Corian® material which is a light weight but durable heat resistant material. Corian® is never cold to the touch and is nonporous, repairable and easy to clean making it the perfect material for domestic and public use. With large basin surround, the ABW wash basins can also assist wheelchair users to move from sitting to standing. The height adjustment of the ABW6 range is operated by a simple handset control and the large lever taps, or infra-red touch free taps (optional) allow for unassisted use for those with limited arm movement.
