The 1.6ml Tri-coded Tube, 48-format, External Thread, Maximum Recovery is suitable for automated workflows using liquid handling. Due to the novel and unique tapered ‘v’ and ‘u’ shaped bottom design, more sample can be retrieved, thus helping to reduce reagent wastage. Tapered ‘v’ and ‘u’ shaped bottom design Three code instances: 1D, 2D and human readable Ideal for automation, designed for liquid handlers Product Details Featuring a novel design, the 1.6ml Maximum Recovery tube is ideally suited for automated workflows using liquid handling, where more sample can be retrieved due to the unique shaped bottom. The innovative design combines both a ‘v’ and ‘u’ shaped bottom, to enable a higher amount of sample retrieval, therefore creating a reduction in reagent wastage resulting in cost savings. Suitable for use with liquid handling automation, whether reformatting, cherry picking, aliquoting an/or normalization. Cost savings can be demonstrated where a calculated amount of sample loss for a standard, non-Maximum Recovery tube (in this example, a 1.9ml tube) over one hundred runs is equivalent to 21,000µl (21ml). Compared to only 5,000µl (5ml) with the 1.6ml Maximum Recovery tube, resulting in a saving of 16ml over the same number of runs. This provides the opportunity for exponentially large savings over time, a key driver for labs in times of rising costs, increased sample miniaturization and a focus on reducing environmental impact. The 1.6ml Maximum Recovery tube offers unequaled sample audit traceability, enabling sample tracking and data sharing between multiple users, labs, locations and automation capabilities.
