Description

Osteo-Class® Radiopaque Bone Cement is used for fixation of components of partial or full joint replacements after preparation of a medullary cavity in cancellous or cortical bone. The use of Osteo-Class® is recommended in arthroplastic procedures of the hip, knee or other joints, for the fixation of implants in bones in the following cases: Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic arthritis, avascular necrosis, osteoporosis due to sickle cell anemia, collagenosis and severe joint destruction secondary to trauma or other conditions and in previous arthroplasty revisions. Osteo-Class® Radiopaque Bone Cement is an acrylic, cement-like substance that allows the seating and fixation of metal or polyethylene prostheses to living bone. After complete polymerization, it acts as a shock absorber for the homogeneous distribution of weight and forces acting between the prosthesis and the bone. Each package contains: 1 ampoule of liquid monomethyl methacrylate, sterilized by EtO; 1 envelope of Polymethylmethacrylate bone cement with Zirconia contrast, sterilized by Gamma Ray.
