OSTENE Bone Hemostasis Material is indicated for use as a water-soluble implant material to control bleeding from bone surfaces. The product is sterile and intended for single use. OSTENE should be warmed to the desired consistency using aseptic technique before application.

Detailed description
OSTENE is a sterile mixture of water-soluble alkylene oxide copolymers that acts as a mechanical barrier to arrest bleeding from exposed bone. It is provided sterile and packaged for single-use surgical applications. OSTENE can be handled and molded when warmed to facilitate placement on irregular bone surfaces.

Instructions for use
Warm OSTENE to the desired consistency using aseptic technique prior to application. Apply directly to bleeding bone surfaces to form a mechanical barrier. Remove any excess material as appropriate. Do not resterilize. Single use only.
