Postpartum haemorrhage is when a mother experiences significant blood-loss after the birth of a baby. Postpartum bleeding can occur very quickly - blood-flow to a uterus at full-term is around 600mL/minute - hence an emergency situation can arise in an extremely short timeframe. When managing a PPH, every second counts. Oli aims to provide that invaluable time. Oli PPH provides essential advance warning and critical time Oli aims to diagnose PPH at least an hour prior to any postpartum blood-loss, providing crucial time to prepare and respond. Advance warning, as Oli aims to provide, would allow for preventative and proactive clinical measures to be put in place, to reduce the occurrence and severity of maternal health outcomes from PPH.
