Description

Product Name: Pepsinogen Ⅱ (PG Ⅱ ) Detection Kit ( Magnetic Solid Phase Chemiluminescent Immunoassay) Packaging: 24 T/KIT Intended Use: This product is used for the in vitro quantitative determination of pepsinogen II (PG II) in human serum. Pepsinogen (PG) is a precursor of pepsin, which is secreted by gastric mucosal tissues and transformed into pepsin with the ability to break down proteins, and is divided into two subgroups according to its biochemical properties and immunogenicity. Groups 1-5 have the same immunogenicity and are called PGⅠ, which is mainly secreted by the principal cells of the gastric glands and mucus neck cells, while groups 6-7 are called PGⅡ, which is secreted by the principal cells of the lytic glands in the fundic mucosa of the gastric body. Under normal conditions, about 1% of PG enters the blood circulation, and the amount of PG enters is very stable. Therefore, serum PGⅠ and Ⅱ reflect the number of gastric mucosal glands and cells, and indirectly the secretory function of different parts of the gastric mucosa. When pathological changes occur in the gastric mucosa, the serum PG level also changes. It is called a "serological biopsy" of the gastric mucosa. The development of H. pylori infection to atrophic gastritis to gastric cancer is accompanied by changes in pepsinogen, so this indicator is related to gastritis, Hp infection, gastric ulcer, gastric bleeding, and gastric cancer.
