ISE Kit is for the in vitro quantitative determination of Sodium (Na+), Potassium (K+), and Chloride (Cl-) concentrations in serum, plasma and urine samples on the BS-800M Chemistry Analyzer.
METHOD
Ion-selective electrode method. Na+ electrode, K+ electrode, Cl- electrode, reference electrode are use.
REAGENTS
All the solutions are ready for use. The concentrations in the solution are:
Buffer pH 7.0 +/- 0.2
Potassium 2 mmol/L
Sodium 0,075 mmol/L
Chloride 2 mmol/L
Formaldehyde < 1.0
MR Serum Standard
Components:
Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Deionized Water, Surfactant and Preservatives.
PRECAUTIONS
4. For in vitro diagnostic use only.
5. DO NOT pipette by mouth. Avoid contamination by external agents.
6. All the solutions of the ISE kit are very sensitive to air.
7. In consequence they must be handled with care.
SAMPLE TYPE
Serum , urine (undiluted)
Serum: The user should quickly separate the serum from the sample. False results can be obtained with hemolyzed samples.
CALIBRATION
In the serum study, MR Serum Standard (Indirect) 2*100 mL calibrators should be used for calibration. Urine Standard should be used for urine study. The calibrators should be used at the beginning of each test day or when the controls used are out of range. The evaporation of the product should be avoided. The calibration slopes should be in a range, if not, then the possibility of the electrode life coming to an end,or the damage in the buffer solution, reference solution or the standards should be considered.
PROCEDURAL NOTES:
Calibrators, standarts, controls and samples should be at room temperature before use.
