Modular systems for filing slides and paraffinembedded preparations. The Istoglass modules (for slides) and Istobloc modules (for cassettes) are made entirely of white enameled metal. They consist of sliding drawers fitted on guides. Each block of Istoglass/Istobloc modules requires completion with a base and top. The special 7-drawer version for large slides or super mega cassettes retains the same modular form. The spacer spring is recommended for keeping the slides in a vertical position with the correct spacing between them. The filing system Istoteca for macro sections is an archive realized in sheet metal, thickness 9/10, japanned white. Each Istoteca has seven drawers running on guides. Each drawer is furnished with a knob and the possibility to apply a paper label. Each filing system may contain: • about 220 Super mega cassettes for macro-sections (dimension about 67 x 76 x 15 mm); • about 2.500 slides for macro-sections (slide maximum dimension 67 x 76 mm); • about 1.645 film slides (dimension max. 67 x 70 x 2 mm), 235 for each drawer. The size is the same of standard Histoslide and Histoblock. In this way it is possible to overlap them on standard filing systems. Each filing system can be equipped with a base (code 03-5000-BA) and a cover (03-5000-CO). They are made of metal sheet, thickness 9/10, japanned white. It is possible overlap different Histoslide elements (until maximum 10 elements). In this way, it is possible decreasing the archives’ size, assuring the content protection.
