GLYCO sutures are indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures. The safety and efficacy of Glyco sutures in cardiovascular and neural tissues has not been established.
High tensile strength.
Extreme handling and easy knot execution.
Excellent knot hold security.
Excellent glide through tissue.
Predictable absorption profile.
Type
Braided and coated absorbable synthetic suture.
Polyglycolic acid (PGA) molecule .
Tensile Strength
The GLYCO suture maintains approximately 82% tensile strength after two weeks of implantation and approximately 56% after three weeks.
Absorption
Occurs via hydrolysis and is complete in approximately 60 to 90 days.
