Description

BIOCRYL Rapid is indicated for soft tissue approximation where only short-term wound support is required and rapid suture absorption is preferred. Thanks to their rapid absorption, BIOCRYL Rapid sutures can be used to heal skin wounds in pediatric surgery, episiotomies, circumcisions and oral mucosa wounds. After 9 days the BSR is approximately 30% for USP 2/0 and 13% for USP 5/0. Two weeks after implantation, the breaking strength is 0%. Absorption Occurs by hydrolysis and is complete in about 42 days.
