Single-axis Torsiometers are designed for measurement of rotations in one plane e.g. forearm pronation/supination or neck axial rotation. If the Torsiometer is bent in planes X-X or Y-Y the output remains constant.
All Torsiometers function the same way, the difference being physical size but are available as either wireless or wired options. Wireless Torsiometers contain a wireless transmitter that enables the test subject total freedom of movement with a range of up to 30m from its interface.
Torsiometer sensors are used extensively in the fields of ergonomics, sports science and medical research where measurements are commonly taken for a wide range of applications such as:
Biomechanics
Ergonomics
Gait Analysis
Sports Science
Clinical Settings
