The Bionix® Prone Breast System is a breast cancer immobilization system that spares much of the chest wall, cardiac tissue & lungs from radiation. Problem:Patients cannot tolerate the discomfort of being in the prone position during treatments and therefore reproducibility can be sacrificed. Solution:The Bionix Prone Breast System has several points of indexing to ensure reproducibility and is composed of sturdy yet lightweight foam, to ensure patient comfort. Additionally, the breast bridge is composed of carbon-fiber and the 15-degree contralateral wedge assists in patient tilt.
