Gallic Acid is a polyphenol produced by plants, which shows antioxidant properties. It is commonly used to measure polyphenol concentration but could also be used to measure antioxidant capacity. It is present in a wide variety of plant-based food samples.
Use this standard with colorimetric assay kits or to compare the BQC electrochemical devices results (µC) to classical antioxidant capacity units of Gallic Acid.
When the Gallic Acid is order for the BRS in agri-food samples, BRS electrolyte is included to perform the calibration curve.
When the Gallic Acid is order for the BRS in biomedical samples, PB or PBS is needed to perform the calibration curve.
