RMT Catheters are luminal catheters with a steerable tip designed to facilitate electrophysiological mapping of the heart and to transmit radiofrequency (RF) current to the catheter tip electrode for ablation purposes. The THERMCOOL® RMT combines the confidence of irrigated tip technology, the accuracy of the CARTO® 3 System and the precision of remote navigation with the NIOBE® Technology. Features & Benefits Optimized Design Temperature sensor is embedded in the tip electrode and electrical connections to the sensor are made via an accessory cable. The tip electrode also serves to deliver RF current from the RF lesion generator to the desired ablation site. Tip deflection is controlled by the interaction of magnets placed in the catheter tip and shaft.
