CyGEL Sustain™ is a novel thermoreversible gel that is compatible with extended imaging of LIVE cells and Zebrafish embryos for several hours depending on cell/organism type. NOTE: for live C.elegans and parasites imaging we recommend CyGEL™. Its special formulation is optimised for the addition of RPMI and similar culture media. It can be used to immobilise non-adherent cells and beads by simple warming and conversely allowing their recovery by simple cooling. CyGEL Sustain™ is available in one size; a 10 x 500μl pack. Please contact us if you need a high volume quantity. The Science CyGEL Sustain™ is a thermo-reversible hydrogel. Unusually, it is a liquid when cooled and gel when warm. It is compatible with (and non-toxic to) cells, tissues and model organisms. CyGEL Sustain™ has been formulated to transition from liquid to gel at ca. 21 °C (i.e. room temperature) allowing immobilization of non-adherent (suspension) cells, beads, micro-tissues, parasites, worms and embryos (such as drosophila), which can be recovered non-destructively by cooling and/or over-dilution using cold buffer.
