Description

The spinit® CRP disposable disc is used with the spinit® instrument as a quantitative assay for the measurement of C-reactive protein concentration in whole blood (venous and capillary), serum and plasma samples. Technical data: Dtection range: 2 - 300 mg/L Storage: Room Temperatute Kit: 20 test discs. Separately packed discs. Clinical utility: The C-reactive protein (CRP) test is used by health practitioners to detect inflammation. In a PoC setting, the CRP test by itself does not provide a diagnostic, but it can be used together with signs and symptoms and other tests to evaluate an individual for an acute or chronic inflammatory condition or to distinguish between bacterial and viral infection. It can determine whether antibiotics are required or not and therefore help to reduce the amount of unnecessary antibiotics prescribed. The spinit® products can help you understand which type of pathogen is causing an infection so you can deliver the most effective médication to your patients and help stop resistances to unneeded drugs. With spinit® CRP you can know under 4 minutes the c-reactive protein value of your patients and, with our other test spinit® BC, you can rapidly know a 5-part differential (lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils) so you know which pathogen is responsible for each infection and what drug is best for each situation. clinical specialities Hospital Care The Emergency Room is the primary setting for undifferentiated, unscheduled patients with illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention.
