The Biotage® Horizon 5000 is a three-position automated disk extraction system that conditions the disk, loads the sample (20 mL to 2 L) and elutes the analytes all without user intervention. A benchtop system with optional use in a hood, the Biotage® Horizon 5000 is a rugged system incorporating clean materials to allow the extraction of low concentration analytes. The system offers a number of features that facilitate easy use of the system including the ability to run previously developed methods with just a few clicks. It also offers the flexibility to optimize many parameters for the best performance in recovery and precision of desired analytes. Benefits Fully Automated Extractions After loading the sample and SPE disk onto the Biotage® Horizon 5000, the user simply starts a method within the software and lets the system do the rest. The Horizon 5000 will automatically condition the disk, load the sample, dry the disk, and generate a final extract all on its own. Sample Safety The Biotage® Horizon 5000 contains built-in safeguards which are designed to protect the sample being run and will automatically alert the user to anything which is out of the ordinary. Maximize Throughput With three positions per module and up to four modules connected to a single PC, up to 12 samples can be run at one time. Run the Most Challenging Matrix Combining the Biotage® Horizon 5000 with either the Fast Flow or 90-mm Disk Holders and their associated Pre-Filters allows for the extraction of the whole sample with secondary extraction steps or messy emulsion formation.
