ESGT tubes are EDTA tubes with gel and K2-EDTA with a concentration of 1.8 mg EDTA per 1 ml of blood. The gel moves up to the interface between the plasma and the blood cells, forming a stable separation barrier during centrifugation.
Plasma can be aspirated directly from the collection tube, eliminating the need to manually transfer it to another container.
NAT tubes should be inverted 8-10 times to ensure complete mixing with the blood.
