VASCULO-Train is a range of simulators for training in surgical procedures on vessels, arteries and veins, such as the management of aortic, arterial, venous and tumor pathologies.
Designed in partnership with vascular surgeons from St Joseph hospitals group, this range is based on the anatomical landmarks used routinely during these procedures.
Advances in surgery allow the management of increasingly complex vascular pathologies, using innovative and minimally invasive procedures.
The VASCULO-Train simulators are complete systems and include all the essential anatomical elements to train these complex procedures and give confidence to young vascular surgeons.
Simulators to address all vascular pathologies
The first simulator in the VASCULO-Train range allows training in iliac fossa vessel surgery.
Other products are under development, in particular for training in stent placement.
ILIO – Surgery of the vessels of the iliac fossa
ILIO simulates thrombo-aspiration by endovascular surgery. Designed from anonymized patient data, ILIO is multi-material 3D printed and realistically reproduces both sides of the leg axis. It consists of:
A reusable simulation environment holding the simulator in physiological position and representing the vascular system of the leg axes
An interchangeable cartridge, including the thrombus to be operated on
ILIO allows users to access the vascular system of the legs, from the femoral artery to the ankles, and to perform the following procedures:
Puncture & catheter insertion in the groin
Homolateral or cross over access
Navigation in the vascular system
