Description
Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics knee-ankle-foot orthoses (KAFOs) address dysfunction at the ankle and knee together. With few exceptions, the ankle portion of the KAFO brace is also available as a standalone AFO. The knee joint can be solid (locked) or can allow for a certain range of motion.
The Boston O&P custom metal/thermoplastic KAFO offers the same indications and biomechanics of the metal/leather KAFO but with a plastic thigh cuff and an AFO section for better ankle/foot control. The custom metal/thermoplastic KAFO is indicated for control of motion and alignment of knee and ankle.
