Description
Bright instruments have been specialising in the development and production of cryostats for
over 50 years.
The Bright Instruments macrotome has been developed for applications when normal cryostats are not large or powerful enough to slice a whole small animal.
Whole-body sectioning is used in research to study systemic effects, multi-organ interactions, and comprehensive anatomical assessments. This approach is particularly valuable in toxicology, developmental biology, and disease pathology studies.
When combined with autoradiography analysis whole animal sections can reveal much about the biodistribution and tissue localization of radiolabelled drugs or metabolites. This is particularly important when needing to visualize penetration into the blood-brain barrier or in tumor localisation study.
The large cryostats are made to order and can have additional design specifications as determined by the customer application – please contact us to discuss your research needs.
