The short implants allow treating edentulisms with moderate atrophies in one surgical step:
without sinus elevations
risk-free in the lower jaw due to its proximity to the dental nerve
In severe atrophy situations, the front cut drill and Endoret® (PRGF®) will simplify the surgical approach to the mandible and maxillary sinus.
Short and narrow implants have sufficient osseointegration surface
According to BTI Finite Element Studies:
the implant, once osseointegrated, regardless of its length, diameter and geometry, transmits stresses to the bone along the first 3 turns, progressively decreasing in the apical direction
increasing implant diameter reduces stresses by 20-30% on adjacent bone
So, to reduce stresses to the adjacent bone, BTI recommends:
to use short implants with the largest possible diameter
to increase the number of narrow implants in multiple restorations, reserving their use as single units for lower and upper lateral incisors
