Our latest design, the V2 includes 4 extra safety features, a safe temperature regulation sensor, 3 selectable power levels, shutdown after 12 hours of use, and a disconnectable power block. This table size mat measures to 112cm L x 52cm W. The carbon technology uses high-density carbon fabric to evenly distribute the heat across the entire surface of that mat. Its soft material will move easily into any shape, providing maximum patient comfort and coverage. Once switched on, it will reach its target temperature in less than 5 minutes and will maintain that temperature whilst transferring the warmth direct to the patient. For this to happen, the patient must be in direct contact with the sensor. This sensor also works as a safe temperature regulator, not allowing the transferred temperature to exceed 42C. CarbonTech heat mats are designed for use without any other materials between the patient and the blanket, having any other insulation, such as blankets or bedding can interfere with the temperature sensors, and therefore interfere with the correct temperature being transferred to the patient. The mat does not store heat, so will significantly reduce the risks of hot spots and burns compared to other warming mats on the market when used in the correct way.
