The Carci Orthostatic Table is used as a therapeutic resource passively by the therapist or actively by the patient for motor stimulation, improvement of cardiopulmonary function and alertness. Found in rehabilitation centers and, more currently, in ICUs (Intensive Care Units) to readapt the vertical position of patients, when they are unable to maintain it, whether due to some illness or muscle shortening. Thus, the patient is secured with Velcro straps and the feet are supported on a base.
