Description

For realistic simulation and training of clinical procedures in the CT-suite Quality Ablation Training Quality Ablation requires a standardised workflow to foster consistent treatment outcomes. Training of all steps of the procedure is a prerequisite for future implementation: Planning and simulation of ablation treatment Placement of needles and applicators Verification of the needle position in the target Modern guidance technology assists in the definition of safe and efficient trajectories. At the same time computer assisted navigation ensures great reproducibility of the interventions. To achieve excellent clinical results, training of the entire Quality Ablation workflow in a realistic clinical scenario is imperative. The Quant Quality Ablation phantom fosters realistic simulation and training of clinical procedures in the CT-suite: Imaging, treatment planning, placement of applicators and verification of the treatment with fusion of pre- and post-intervention images. The Quant Quality Ablation phantom comes with 11 intrahepatic targets in different shapes, sizes and locations to allow a realistic training of the intervention. It's hyperdense ct appearance eases the fusion of pre- and post-treatment scans. The color of the intrahepatic targets supports the simulation of positive biopsies.
