Mammaglobin is a mammary gland-associated glycoprotein, a distant relative of a secretin family member. Unlike other secretory family members, the mRNA of mammaglobulin is specifically expressed in breast tissue.
Clinical Application
Mainly used for specific expression verification of breast tissue.
Combined with GCDFP-15 to detect mammaglobulin expression in breast cancer tissue.
It plays a crucial role in identifying whether the primary cancer has metastasized.
