P40 is one of the subunit of P63 protein, and P63 is widely used in the analysis of lung cancer in daily pathological diagnosis. It is not only high sensitivity in lung squamous cancer, but also partially expressed in lung adenocarcinoma. To compared to P63, P40 has a similar high sensitivity to P63 antibodies in lung squamous cancer, but is rarely expressed in lung adenocarcinoma. Therefore, p40 is recommended for differential diagnosis of lung squamous and lung adenocarcinoma.
