Annexin A1 is a member of the Ca2+ dependent lepido-binding protein group with a molecular weight of 35kda-40kda.This antibody is strongly expressed in the cell membrane and occasionally in the cytoplasm of tumor cells in 97% of cases of hairy cell leukemia.Recent studies have shown that this antibody is highly specific and sensitive to the immunohistochemical staining of hair cell leukaemia and is therefore commonly used in the differential diagnosis of hair cell leukaemia from other B cell lymphoma.
