The Sam Cardiothoracic Module (#4095) is designed to be housed in the Surgical Sam (#4094) chassis to provide a high fidelity team trainer for pediatric cardiothoracic surgery.
CT MODULE INCLUDES:
Retractable Sternum
Ventilatible Lungs
Hemodynamic flow to the chest cavity
Pediatric Surgical Sam Beating Heart (#4108) with controllable heart rate
Replaceable, Cannulatable Right Atrium (#4120)
Replaceable, Cannulatable Aorta (#4119)
The beating heart can be fed by, and synchronized with, the output of a patient monitor for enhanced physiologic realism. This pediatric trainer for cardiac team training provides a platform to simulate the challenge of achieving hemostasis during an emergency return to the OR.
Surgical Sam is built on a “chassis” (#4094) with interchangeable thoracic and abdominal anatomy modules available; the Sam Pediatric Cardiothoracic Module (#4095) or the Sam Pediatric General Surgery Module (#4096). Surgical Sam represents a 14 month old infant of average length and head circumference.
