Description

The Sam Cardiothoracic Module (#4095) is designed to be housed in the Surgical Sam (#4094) chassis to provide a high fidelity team trainer for pediatric cardiothoracic surgery. CT MODULE INCLUDES: Retractable Sternum Ventilatible Lungs Hemodynamic flow to the chest cavity Pediatric Surgical Sam Beating Heart (#4108) with controllable heart rate Replaceable, Cannulatable Right Atrium (#4120) Replaceable, Cannulatable Aorta (#4119) The beating heart can be fed by, and synchronized with, the output of a patient monitor for enhanced physiologic realism. This pediatric trainer for cardiac team training provides a platform to simulate the challenge of achieving hemostasis during an emergency return to the OR. Surgical Sam is built on a “chassis” (#4094) with interchangeable thoracic and abdominal anatomy modules available; the Sam Pediatric Cardiothoracic Module (#4095) or the Sam Pediatric General Surgery Module (#4096). Surgical Sam represents a 14 month old infant of average length and head circumference.
