Lysis 4 – Blood Lysis Buffer is a pH neutral solution which contains sodium azide (NaN3) and inorganic salts. The pH value is 7.2. Lysis 4 – Blood Lysis Buffer is used to enumerate dead and viable leukocytes or other nucleated cells in blood containing samples of mammalian origin, such as EDTA-treated whole blood, buffy coats, leukapheresis samples and bone marrow. Lysis 4 – Blood Lysis Buffer lyses only erythrocytes, allowing homogeneous staining of the nucleus of leukocytes and other nucleated cells in blood samples by DNA-binding dyes such as acridine orange and DAPI.
