This Fluorescent Immunoassay IGFBP-I POCT Kit is designed for in vitro quantitative detection of IGFBP-I in vaginal secretions samples. It’s for professional only.
Summary
IGFBP-I, the abbreviation of Human insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-1,is a protein with a molecular weight of 25kDa, which is synthesized and secreted by fetal or human liver cells and maternal decidua in humans. IGFBP-1 is a protein that binds to insulin-like growth factor (insulin-like growth factor, IGF) with high affinity, can regulate the bio-availability of IGF, and has the function of regulating cell proliferation and differentiation. The concentration of IGFBP-1 begins to increase after pregnancy, and it is one of the most important proteins in the amniotic fluid during the second trimester until just before delivery.
Why Test IGFBP-I?
The rupture of fetal membranes before labor is called premature rupture of membranes (PROM), and its incidence rate is about 10%. Premature rupture of membranes is the most common perinatal complication and can have serious adverse consequences for the pregnant woman, fetus, and newborn. For example, it can lead to an increase in premature birth rate, an increase in perinatal mortality rate, an increase in intrauterine infection rate and puerperal infection rate. Therefore, the early detection of premature rupture of membranes is particularly important. At present, the clinical detection methods of premature rupture of membranes include microscopic examination, pH test paper detection, early pregnancy β-HCG test paper detection and HCG fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) method detection,
