It is a placebo-like pMDI training device which with the Flo-Tone CR Trainer attached is an essential tool for healthcare professionals to teach inhaler technique. The Trainhaler teaches appropriate inhaler technique steps to follow and is suitable for multi-patient use by changing the Flo-Tone CR Trainer for each individual patient. By knowing how to use an inhaler correctly, the patient will be able to receive their medication in a slow and controlled manner. The medicine will go straight into the lungs and improve a patients breathing. Trainhaler will coach good inhaler technique and help this to happen. A whistle is heard when the patient is inhaling correctly. The start of the whistle sound is the signal to press the canister. The whistle should be maintained for 5 seconds if possible. This ensures the patient is inhaling gently and at the correct flow rate, this providing ample opportunity for good co-ordination of actuation. Using an inhaler properly is vital, and therefore you should follow the correct inhaler technique steps.
