Inspection of the implants must be carried out with care. The probe should be used gently so that the tip does not penetrate the junctional epithelium and connective tissue up to the bone. In healthy tissue, the probe stops at the coronal level of the connective tissue. In the presence of inflammation, the tip of the probe may come close to the bone.
