Enables extremely fast and accurate measurements of ultra low liquid mass flow
The FlowMeter 162FM is based on novel CMOS technology that measures volume. Measurements from this meter, therefore, are more stable and accurate when compared to similar instruments used in vascular research. This precision instrument was designed for low-flowmeasurements (15 - 4000μl/min) through tubular tissues such as arteries, veins and small ducts under dual pressure control. The FlowMeter is designed as an add-on option to all DMT Pressure Myograph Systems.
The FlowMeter enables extremely fast and accurate measurements of ultra low liquid mass flow. All measurement data are fully calibrated and temperature-compensated by means of an internal microcontroller. In addition, the FlowMeter offers excellent chemical resistance and fluid bio-compatibility. Use of intact non-coagulating blood is also possible with the FlowMeter.
Use of the FlowMeter with the MyoVIEW software provides accurate, real-time flow-rates that correspond to changes in vascular diameter measurements. In addition, combining the FlowMeter with MyoVIEW provides the user with calculated values for shear stress and vascular resistance, presenting more information on resistance vessel segments under near in-vivo conditions.
