The SYMBOL® stem has been developed using research from over 200 scanners. The aim was to specify the implant’s intra- and extra-medullary characteristics in such a way as to reproduce the femoral anatomy.
3D anatomical analysis of the femurs and the synthesis established from implantation simulations have made it possible to confirm the suitability of a family of shorter, straight, neutral femoral stems.

Proximal metaphyseal anchorage ensures primary stability
The 80µm hydroxyapatite surface effect ensures secondary anchorage
One instrumentation, six alternatives
Cemented stem in M30 nitrogen-enhanced stainless steel (ISO 5832-9)
Cementless stem in TA6V titanium alloy (ISO 5832-3)
Delta ceramic or cobalt chrome heads
Trochanterometer: A tool for planned implantations
Striations along the stem axis give better contact and easier extraction

FEATURES
Following research from 200 scanners, the SYMBOL® stem and its ancillary part have been designed to provide the simplest possible solution for all existing morphotypes.
That is why:
Offset and length of neck (n) increase homothetically from size to size.
The length of the collarette (c) increases with stem size (L) and is suitable for vara stems.
These features are all made possible by the design of a single tray instrumentation.
SYMBOL® stem’s six options can thus be used with one instrumentation to reproduce all these features.
