Head drills are designed to be used for countersink osteotomy for implant placement, after pilot drilling. Head drills come in 3.1, 4.1, and 5.1 mm diameters and are to be used with their respective Narrow, Standard, and Wide implant diameters. Head drills also come in short and long iterations, with 17 mm and 23 mm shank lengths, respectively. Material is 17-4 Stainless Steel that is passivated and heat treated.
