FIBERGRAFT™ Product, composed of a 45S5 Bioglass, stimulates the growth and osteogenic differentiation of osteoblasts in the formation of new bone.
FIBERGRAFT Product has the ability to RECRUIT, ATTACH and CONNECT.
Recruit – Bioactive glass reacts with host tissue to stimulate, recruit and activate bone forming cells.
Attach – FIBERGRAFT Product has a proprietary fiber architecture, providing a surface area that promotes cell attachment and growth.
Connect – Bioactive glass reacts with host tissue to create a scaffold that mimics natural bone and promotes cell attachment.
About This Product
FIBERGRAFT Bioactive Bone Graft Substitute is a synthetic bone graft substitute that is made of 45S5 bioactive glass fibers1,2* (silica, sodium, calcium, phosphate oxides). It is indicated for bony voids or gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure of the skeletal system and later resorbed and replaced by the patient’s bone during healing.**
FIBERGRAFT Bioactive Bone Graft Substitute is available in four different application formulas:
FIBERGRAFT BG Morsels
FIBERGRAFT BG Putty
FIBERGRAFT BG Putty GPS
FIBERGRAFT BG Matrix
Features & Benefits
Made of Bioglass
FIBERGRAFT Products' primary component, 45S5 Bioactive glass, has been shown to enhance osteoblastic activity.
Continuous Porosity
Porosity is an important bone scaffold characteristic, allowing for nutrient exchange, cell migration, and vascularization. Through the use of fibers, the FIBERGRAFT™ Bioglass scaffold (BG Morsels) is highly porous, with an interconnected 3D structure that provides more surface area than a non-porous granule.
