The interesting research activity that Mauro Carratelli has been doing in the last 20 years led to the development of a series of tests in the area of oxidative stress evaluation, now included in Panel Carratelli. Panel Carratelli is the integrated analytical approach that allows the global assessment of oxidative stress by the use of 13 tests that complete each other. These tests can be divided in two groups, one for the evaluation of the pro-oxidant status and the other for the antioxidant status, and both can be applied to Human, Veterinary and Agri-food sector. Useful to: to evaluate the state of antioxidant defenses and/or the effectiveness of specific antioxidant treatments. It can be used to monitor the effectiveness of food and/or antioxidant formulations. What Evaluates: the plasma antioxidant barrier in two distinct results: rapid exogenous antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E and slow endogenous antioxidants such as uric acid, thiol groups and polyphenols.
